Breast lift surgery/Mastopexy re-elevates the breast skin and nipples to a more rounded, firmer, and higher position through skin excisions and special suturing. These methods lift and reposition the breasts to look more uplifted and aesthetically pleasing while for many patients increasing their physical comfort as well.

Women who feel their breasts have lost their shape and volume, or who are unhappy with their breast sagging and positioning tend to gravitate towards this surgery. It is a great way to restore an elongated, flat appearance after breast feeding or aging over time. Typically, this surgery is best suited for breasts that, when unsupported, have nipples that fall below the breast crease and point downwards, but it can also be a way of correcting asymmetries.

Adding implants to your breast lift surgery

A Mastopexy-Augmentation is another popular option for women who want their nipples and breast tissues lifted into a higher position, but also want to increase or improve the size/volume and projection of their breasts. Combining these two procedures will give the breasts a rounder, fuller appearance as well.

Every patient is unique and will require a customized breast lift treatment. The technique we use for your surgery may differ depending on whether or not you choose to have implants, your current amount of breast sagging (ptosis), and current breast tissue. With either of these surgeries, we can also improve the shape and appearance of the areola. An areolar reduction requires an incision hidden along the outer edge of the areola.
